Photography is a powerful documentary and storytelling tool, and HammerHard MediaWorks is working to create an online gallery of copyleft material that our partners and clients can use to support campaigns for economic and social justice. 

Our volunteers and supporters include movement shooters who also string for both corporate outlets and vital non-corporate projects like the Chicago Independent Media Center and the larger Indymedia network. The gallery we're creating will be built on a platform of opensource code and work first and foremost to provide access to some of these shots for use in flyers, posters and other materials. While many photos will reflect the shooters' interest in documenting movements for economic and social justice, we also expect participants will want to submit material that may not be particularly overtly political, but still represents the joy and power of photography.
